Memorials and Honour Rolls

There are still a large number of surviving memorials and rolls of honour around the city, if you know where to look. You can scroll through some of them, and one or two lost ones, here. The fate of this memorial is unknown following its post-war (WW2) demolition. It was described in 'The Snapper' (courtesy www.eyreg.co.uk) thus; 
space Base surmounted by two stepped plinth and Latin cross. Inscription on both sides of the plinth.' 
The exact wording is unknown and it is believed to have recorded the names of circa 90 soldiers of The Great War. space
