Destruction in a Cemetery

My mother told us children that a Land Mine dropped in Hedon Road Hull Cemetery c May 1940. It landed in the area where her mother had been buried in 1919. The whole area was just a crater, with bones scattered around. It must have been very sad to witness. The Compartment number where my Grandmother is buried is 377. Obviously other Compartments may have been affected. 377 is on the right hand side just before the burials take a right turn leading to the Crematorium. If you visit you will see a large grassed area without any visible headstones. I imagine one mass burial must have taken place to return the bones to a resting place.
