Our extremely popular school visits programme is open to all schools in the 'Greater Hull' area. We can come to you or you can come to us for the very best pupil experience. Whatever you decide, we promise that we will excite your pupils and leave them wanting to know more.
Our interactive talks will be focused on the area around your school and feature the nearest incidents and images so that pupils are better able to visualise the horror that was suffered by the people of Hull. Pupils will be able to handle a selection of genuine World War artefacts including weapons and munitions (all of which are deactivated and perfectly safe). We will, of course, only bring those items which are agreed in advance by the Governors and/or Head Teacher.
If you decide to visit us at 22 Whitefriargate, of course, there will be far more for the pupils to see and do than we could ever bring out to your school. As most bus routes pass through Queen Victoria Square, using public transport will also help to keep your costs down. Some schools combine a visit to our Exhibition Centre with a visit to the Art Gallery, the Maritime Museum, the History Centre or the Museums Quarter as all are within easy walking distance.
